The Advanced Diver course is designed for certified divers who want to expand their skills, gain experience, and explore new diving conditions with professional guidance. At Bucaneros del Caribe, we guide you with SDI training and practice adapted to your level, goals, and prior experience.
During the course, you can develop skills through specialties such as deep diving, night diving, drift diving, altitude, or low visibility diving, depending on availability, student level, logistics, and sea conditions in Mahahual and Costa Maya.

How does the Advanced Diver course work?
Skill and goal assessment
We start by reviewing your certification, recent experience, number of dives, comfort level, and training goals to choose the most suitable specialties.
Specialty selection
The course may include specialties like deep, night, drift, altitude, or low visibility diving, depending on availability, sea conditions, and the instructor's discretion.
Technical briefing and planning
Before each practice, we review objectives, estimated depth, signals, equipment, buoyancy control, environment management, and specific considerations for the specialty.
In-water practice
You will perform supervised training dives to apply new skills in real conditions, always based on your progress, chosen site, weather, visibility, and current.
Wrap-up, feedback, and next steps
Upon completion, we review your performance, answer questions, and guide you on how to keep gaining experience, move on to Rescue Diver, or plan more demanding dives.
